Jim Olsson

Jim Olsson

Born in Sydney.  Quit school at 15 to enrol in the National Arts School.  Worked in publishing and advertising in Asia and North America.  Further studies in electronic media at Ryerson Institute, Toronto.
  In 1972, Jim returned to Australia and in 1988 held his first one-man show in Brisbane.  Since then he has participated in the usual number of mixed exhibitions (including Amsterdam in 1995 and Birmingham in 1999) and held another 34 one-man shows, in Australia and overseas.

In 1993, QPAT (Queensland Performing Arts Trust) sponsored a one-man show which toured internationally.

Jim is represented in private and corporate collections in Australia, Canada, Hong Kong, Ireland, Japan, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, United Kingdom, United States of America, Italy, Singapore, Switzerland and The Netherlands
